MASTERPIECES

Can a memory game be unforgettable?

Can a box of matches illuminate death? And

can a T shirt persuade you to get naked?

These questions framed Masterpieces, our collaboration with the Mishkan Museum of Art, developed in response to an exhibition presenting Israeli reenactments of canonical Western works. Rather than producing standard museum merchandise, we approached the project as an alchemy between art and everyday life.

The capsule translated curatorial narratives into garments and small objects. Stickers became provocations. Postcards carried theatrical weight. Totes and T shirts functioned as mobile surfaces, extending the exhibition beyond institutional space.

By giving casual items a deliberate, slightly irreverent twist, the project questioned the hierarchy between masterpiece and souvenir. It positioned design as a cultural mediator, allowing art to circulate through humor, material precision, and lived experience.
